ABOUT NEW PROSPECT ART

Gareth has bulit up a wide reputation throughout the South East of England for his painting. His work utilises several different approaches, reflected here in the Gallery selections. He has had one-man shows in Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Canterbury and Cranbrook and has also shared in exhibitions in those towns and in London. His portraits have been commissioned throughout the same areas.

Gareth has a strong background in music and in the media (BBC) and it is no surprise that music in its many aspects is a consistent feature in his work. The other characteristic of his painting is a strong colouristic use of whichever medium is applied.

He is always happy to accept commissions and has worked with writers and musicians to produce bookcovers and publicity posters. His work as a portrait painter gives him particular satisfaction as he likes to liaise closely with clients, believing that a team approach pays dividends and that the end result in no way detracts from the artist's personality or integrity.

The timescale from discussion to completion is not usually very long- sometimes only a matter of two or three weeks - but obviously that will depend on the nature of the request. There is no absolute rate scale but a typical portrait for wall display sized 36 x 24 " would be in the region of Ł450. Costs will always be agreed beforehand.
